As well as the races which the SSBA is affiliated with there are many other races taking place throughout the year which you can choose to undertake on behalf of the Scottish Spina Bifida Association.
Just sign up directly with the race organisers and then contact the SSBA Fundraising Team on 01236 794508 or email Fundraising and they will send you sponsor forms, t-shirts and any other marketing materials you may require to complete your challenge. They are also on hand for any advice you may need to make your race a fabulous fundraising success.

Peterhead Half Marathon - Sunday 12th September 2010
The Starlight Parade Committee have launched the Peterhead Half Marathon, which will take place on 12th September 2010. The proceeds from this race will be donated to the Scottish Spina Bifida Association.

Great Scottish Run - Sunday 5th September 2010 - Glasgow 10K and Half Marathon
Following the success of last year's event (18,000 runners), participants once again will get to choose between the half marathon or 10k. The race takes runners past some of the city's most famous attractions, and features the hugely popular run over the Kingston Bridge, before finishing in Glasgow Green.

Womens 10K - May - Bellahouston Park, Glasgow
Over 12,000 women entered the Resolution Asset Managements Women's 10k in 2008 with the winner completing the race in just 31.32 minutes

The 10K for Men - June - Bellahouston Park, Glasgow
The 10K for Men is organised by Men's Health Forum Scotland (MHFS) and is the only 10k event specifically for men in the UK . It is held every year on the last day of National Men's Health Week, which is also Fathers Day.
The event was launched in 2006 and last year attracted over 2000 participants. The event, which is held in Bellahouston Park in June, is open to all men over 15 years with family, individual, community or work participation widely encouraged.
The run was originally devised and continues to be a community-based event to raise the profile of men's health in Scotland and to involve men of all ages and abilities in healthy activity.

Baxters Loch Ness Marathon - Sunday 3rd October 2010
Recognised as one of the UK's leading marathons, the Baxters Loch Ness Marathon follows a spectacular point-to-point route through stunning Highland scenery, along the south-eastern shores of Loch Ness, and then crosses the River Ness to finish in Inverness Queens Park Stadium. Entry is on a first come, first served basis until race limit is reached or 1 May, whichever is sooner.
